Our classes are specially designed to help youth learn all about Maine in fun, informative, hands-on ways. The learning comes through the doing – making paintings, sculptures and crafts that focus on learning about this beautiful state. Inspiration for our work comes from all around us and we use a variety of materials to make works to reflect the natural beauty and excitement of Maine. Students meet others who enjoy the arts as we work, visit and spend time together. We stay busy concentrating on making paintings, sculptures and crafts. Our inspiration is Maine – landscape, wildlife, flora, artists and values. We’ll look at famous artist’s work and make our own. Each day also includes stories, art games and outdoor play when possible. Each class has a special focus that encourages involvement with different media and concepts. New this season are cluster classes on Mondays and Saturdays in clay, jewelry and fine arts. Other classes are one day workshops. These classes will cover the gamut of crafts and art exposure. Day long classes offer a variety of art and craft projects as well as exposure to more art history, art games and crafts that can be pursued at home.  | Pre-registration is required for all classes.
